FIFA 17 Ultimate Team: FUT Man of the Match Cards for FA Cup Round 5 Revealed

Tom SunderlandFeb 22, 2017

EA Sports has released its Man of the Match lineup for the fifth round of the FA Cup on FIFA 17 Ultimate Team, where Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Harry Kane and Cesc Fabregas have been selected as the star men of the competition's latest stage.

Mkhitaryan's new 88-rated in-form is the pick of the bunch after he made a valuable move to central attacking midfield, and Kane moves up to an 89 rating with his fourth upgrade of the campaign.

Lucas Perez has also been rewarded after he scored against Sutton United in a rare start for Arsenal, while Middlesborough's Grant Leadbitter completes the Premier League pack following a goal in his side's 3-2 win over Oxford United.

EA Sports announced the Man of the Match cast on Wednesday.

Millwall right-back Shaun Cummings' last-gasp winner in a 1-0 victory over Leicester City has earned him a nomination for the Man of the Match lineup, and Huddersfield Town's Philip Billing also features after he helped his side to a 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

Here's how the FA Cup fifth-round Man of the Match in-form list looks in full:

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Manchester United

Manchester United were forced to rally from a goal down to beat Blackburn Rovers to a spot in the quarter-finals on Sunday, and it was a fiery performance from Mkhitaryan that jump-started their charge.

The Armenian propelled a glossy outside-the-foot pass into the path of Marcus Rashford for the equaliser, per Statman Dave, in yet another example of his increasing value to manager Jose Mourinho's side:

Moving to attacking midfield promises to yield major benefits for those teams with a Premier League focus, particularly if players hope to pair Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial or Zlatan Ibrahimovic with their United team-mate.

Mkhitaryan's defence (67) is now his only base rating below 83, and his respective dribbling and passing stats of 91 and 90 promise to devastate alongside shooting and pace ratings of 86.

Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur

Kane's 2016-17 season has gone from strength to strength of late, and a match-winning hat-trick in Tottenham Hotspur's 3-0 hammering of Fulham on Sunday saw the striker earn an impressive fourth in-form of the term.

The Europa League showed a hat-trick is nothing new to the England frontman, however, as his shooting was upgraded to a tremendous 93 following his latest goalscoring masterclass:

While Kane's shooting (93), pace (78) and dribbling (89) only improved by one point apiece, his physical rating jumped by two to a boisterous 90, as did his passing, which now sits at 85.

Premier League teams already have a long line of elite attackers to choose from in crafting their teams, but Kane's newest variation promises to make him one of the most coveted in the game.

Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea

Chelsea were pushed surprisingly hard to earn a 2-0 win in their trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, but the grace of midfield maestro Fabregas was a large factor in smoothing their path to progress.

The Blues advanced to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup as a result of their victory, and Goal's Nizaar Kinsella picked the Spaniard out as particularly impressive, despite not being guaranteed a start under manager Antonio Conte:

Like Mkhitaryan, Fabregas has been boosted to 88 overall, equal to his dribbling stat, while his 92 pass rating stands out as the factor really making him a unique figure to have present in one's team.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal man may still not be the quickest with 65 pace, but a five-point upgrade in defence to 70 helps make Fabregas more of a justifiable inclusion in any Premier League or Spanish midfield.
