A high school basketball team in Brown County, Ohio, surprised a student with signed basketballs and a jersey during its final home game.

According to Fox19 Now's Ben Katko, Eastern High School student Peyton Murphy regularly attends basketball games. His father, Nathan, said that his son may have played if not for his disabilities.

"He loves basketball," Nathan said. "He probably would have been a star basketball player."

During Wednesday's senior night, the team gifted Peyton and his friend, Cory, with autographed balls and a jersey. Classmate Jacob Diener explained the thought process behind his team's gesture.

"No matter if you win or lose, knowing that you made somebody have a good time there that can't be on the court with you—it's just one of the best feelings ever."

Per Katko, Peyton has "hardly put down the ball since he got it."

"It doesn't take much to make people feel included," his father said. "It's huge.”
