Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Core Black/Red' Gets a New Heel Tab
Kanye West and Team Adidas have February 11 marked down on their joint calendar as the next official installment of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2.
The "Core Black/Red" V2 takes the modified design of the second generation and strips away the embossed speckle effect. For these Yeezys, the design team opted for a sheer black coating to complement the red SPLY-350 text stitched across the upper.
You'll notice from the official images posted below that the SPLY-350 imagery has once again been displayed using a mirror effect. This type of lettering has become the sneaker's calling card in terms of branding—an addition we didn't see featured on the first Boost 350.

Despite being a continuation of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, the "Core Black/Red" features a brand-new heel tab. It's the first V2 model to be equipped with this add-on.

Materials-wise, the Yeezy "Core Black/Red" relies on a Primeknit upper and a black translucent ribbed sole to do its bidding, two features that ensure a supreme level of comfort, not to mention give way for a tighter fit than the first generation of 350s.
Look, there's little reason to believe consumers will be able to dive in on release day and pick up a pair without enduring constant waves of frustration—you know, those overlapping, "wash away your sand castle" waves.

We've seen every Yeezy that's dropped to date destroy mobile devices and internet folklore, turning release dates into digital raffles. The "Core Black/Red" shouldn't be any different.
Set to release on February 11 at select retailers—reservations will also be present on the Adidas Confirmed app—these kicks will run you $220.
