Watch: Paul Daley Scores Terrifying Flying Knee Knockout at Bellator 170

Steven RondinaJan 21, 2017

Paul Daley is a violent, violent man. The latest example of this came on Saturday night at Bellator 170.

Facing "Irish" Brennan Ward in the card's co-main event, Daley scored what may very well be the scariest knockout of his MMA career.

After fighting along the cage in the clinch for a brief time, Daley managed to break free from Ward's grasp with a tight spinning elbow that landed hard. While it didn't necessarily stagger Ward, he looked dazed by the strike.

Daley smelled blood nonetheless, and charged towards Ward. Seemingly expecting a takedown, Ward ducked down but, instead of a shot, he was met with a full-speed flying knee to the head that landed with a horrifying crack.

That strike stopped the fight dead and Daley knew it, not even throwing any follow-up strikes.

From there, Daley wisely called out recently signed Bellator welterweight Rory MacDonald in his post-fight interview. MacDonald, though, did not seem especially impressed:

Either way, Daley's riding high and should be lined up for a big fight from here. A MacDonald vs. Daley bout would be quite a treat.
