Rich Swann vs. Brian Kendrick vs. TJ Perkins: Winner, Reaction for WWE Roadblock
In his first pay-per-view title defense since winning the Cruiserweight Championship, Rich Swann retained against Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins Sunday at Roadblock: End of the Line.
Swann and Perkins delivered stereo superkicks to Kendrick, taking him out of the match. Swann then wasted little time in kicking Perkins in the head before getting the pin.
WWE shared Swann's reaction to retaining his belt:

Former WWE announcer Jim Ross thought the structure of the match wasn't beneficial to the wrestlers inside the ring:
The cruiserweight division received a much-needed shot in the arm, though, with Neville's return. WWE shared a clip of his entrance:
Neville attacked Swann and Perkins, sending a big message to the rest of the division. Cruiserweight stars Noam Dar and Ariya Daivari reacted to the beatdown:
"Neville's no here tae mess aboot #WWERoadblock
— Noam Dar (@NoamDar) December 19, 2016"
"I like where @WWENeville's mind is at. #Roadblock #205Live
— Ariya Daivari (@AriyaDaivari411) December 19, 2016"
After weeks of picking up big victories, Swann earned a title shot against Kendrick on the debut episode of 205 Live.
They engaged in a back-and-forth affair that featured several near-falls, but the outlandish Superstar managed to come through and win the Cruiserweight Championship for the first time.
During the build toward that bout, Swann also defeated Perkins, who had fallen into something of a rut since dropping the belt to Kendrick in controversial fashion, with the savvy veteran feigning injury.
Swann and Kendrick competed in a rematch on the second edition of 205 Live, and Perkins sat in on commentary since he was still technically due a return contest for the Cruiserweight Championship after losing it to Kendrick.
Although Swann won the match, the situation devolved into a melee afterward, with Perkins and Kendrick tussling before TJP accidentally floored Swann with a kick.
After that incident, WWE booked a Triple Threat match for Roadblock, and Swann expressed confidence in his ability to retain despite the difficult odds, according to WWE's official Twitter account:
Swann had a ton of momentum on his side ahead of Roadblock after notching victories over both of his opponents in singles matches; however, the dynamic of a Triple Threat match takes away the champion's advantage.
The possibility of Swann losing the title without getting pinned or submitted loomed large, and it created an entertaining dynamic that made for one of the best cruiserweight matches on the main roster to date.
Although several cruiserweights have been featured regularly on both Raw and 205 Live, there is no question Swann, Kendrick and Perkins are positioned as the faces of the division, and they showed why they are deserving of that honor Sunday.
All three Superstars figure to remain close to the championship scene for the foreseeable future, although top talents such as Jack Gallagher and Cedric Alexander may not be far from inserting themselves into the picture. It's only a matter of time before Neville is part of the equation as well after Roadblock.
Following a somewhat lackluster introduction, the cruiserweight division is beginning to get interesting.
