Manchester City Transfer News: Sky Blues Swoop for Yeboah Amankwah, Top Rumours
Manchester City have snatched Manchester United trialist Yeboah Amankwah from under the nose of their bitter rivals after the prodigy decided to join the Sky Blues as a scholar rather than sign a permanent deal at Old Trafford.
Simon Bajkowski and Samuel Luckhurst of The Manchester Evening News reported the 16-year-old, who featured for United's youth side in their 2016 Football for Freedom success, has opted to swap a chance of playing for Jose Mourinho in favour of joining Pep Guardiola's outfit.
City's scouting manager Joe Shield recently highlighted the talent as he shone in the red jersey of United:

The Red Devils have been on a recruitment drive to sign the best young talent in the country, but they have lost the opportunity to capture London-based Amankwah, who was noticed at the Kinetic Foundation academy in the capital.
In other news, Eliaquim Mangala appears to be on his way back to the northwest in the summer after loan-club Valencia's disappointing season in La Liga.
Marca (h/t talkSPORT) have reported Los Che "have been put off the deal owing to the huge financial demands." The Mestalla Stadium giants have a clause in the defender's contract allowing them to make the move permanent, but they are not happy with his £30 million transfer fee. The player's huge wages are also a severe complication if the centre-back wants a swift departure from Etihad Stadium.

Mangala arrived at City as one of Europe's burgeoning young defenders, but he struggled to adapt to the pace of the Premier League.
The France international has featured 10 times for his loan team in La Liga, according to WhoScored.com, but the Bats have lost eight of their first 13 league games.
Mangala has spoken out about Valencia's recent run of results, with VCF Radio quoting his positive stance:
At 25, Mangala is young enough to recapture his best form, but his style does not suit Guardiola's mandate to play out from the back.
The defender is weighted towards a more physical back four, but his wages will make him an unattractive proposition to many teams.
It was expected Mangala would develop into one of the best in European football, but his level was exposed when he arrived in England.
