Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil
Arsenal could be forced to brace themselves for a pair of damaging departures next year following reports Alexis Sanchez is refusing to rule out a move to China, while Mesut Ozil is being hunted by a trio of Premier League giants.
According to the Sun's Alan Nixon, Sanchez is considering the Chinese Super League as a genuine destination following speculation the Chile international is seeking wages of £250,000 a week at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez currently earns close to half that amount—£130,000 a week—and is the Gunners' second-highest-paid star behind Ozil, but the chances of Arsenal breaking their wage structure by such a large margin seem short.

Ozil is also locked in contract talks, per Nixon's report, and the pair could be critical to their own futures after Sanchez revealed the German is his best friend on and off the pitch, per the Daily Star Sunday's Harry Pratt:
"We are playing with the right mentality. We want to become the champions. We are doing it one step at a time. But we are very ambitious.
I get on with all my team-mates on the pitch but best of all with Ozil.
I really enjoy playing with him. We don’t need to say anything during a game. It just takes a glance from one of us to play a one-two or a pass.
"
The Chinese Super League is quickly becoming a more plausible market for the world's top players, and Nixon mentioned Sanchez "knows he can net around £300,000 a week" if he were to jump ship and move to Asia.
Amid talk of an Arsenal exit, however, Sanchez's Instagram activity has at least suggested he's happy in north London leading up to Sunday's Premier League clash against Bournemouth:
A move to China at this juncture in the Chilean's career would represent an odd transition considering the forward is 27 and entering the prime of his career, although money can be a major motivator.
The Chinese Super League has landed a string of transfer coups in recent times, luring the likes of Hulk, Graziano Pelle, Ramires and Jackson Martinez from some of Europe's biggest divisions with a promise of huge paydays.
Both players' contracts are scheduled to expire in 2018, and Nixon added Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested in Ozil in the event he decides to leave the Emirates in the foreseeable future.
Ozil is Arsenal's highest-paid player and earns £140,000 a week. That being said, Nixon said the 2014 World Cup-winner is more likely to extend his stay at Arsenal, and he at least appears content in his current setting:
The Germany international is also said to be interesting Italian titans Juventus, although it's uncertain as to whether they'd have the funds needed to challenge the English powerhouses said to be vying for his signature.
Arsenal fans are waiting with bated breath to see if two of their most cherished assets will pen new terms at the club, although it seems unlikely manager Arsene Wenger would sell either to a direct rival in any case.
