Real Madrid Transfer News: Isco Reveals Contract Talks Amid Latest Exit Rumours
Real Madrid playmaker Isco has revealed he and Los Blancos are in negotiations over a new deal, despite speculation he could be set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Marca (h/t Football Espana), he said: "I still have this year and next on my contract, both the club and myself are looking forward [to a renewal] and we hope to sort it out. I'm getting continuity now and am happy to help the team."
Per Spanish outlet Ok Diario Madridista (h/t Calciomercato), Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in Isco, who has played just 715 minutes this season across 12 appearances—an average of just under an hour per outing.

The Spaniard was handed a starting berth in Saturday's Madrid derby, however, and along with hat-trick hero Cristiano Ronaldo, he was among Real's best players in the 3-0 win, per ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan:
Karim Benzema started on the bench, so in his absence Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane opted to field a 4-4-1-1 formation with Isco behind Ronaldo in his favoured No. 10 role—a position that usually doesn't exist when Benzema, Ronaldo and Gareth Bale all play, which equally explains James Rodriguez's similar struggle for game time.
SB Nation's Lucas Navarrete also hailed the 24-year-old's exceptional performance:
Per Squawka Football and OptaJose, the stats back up the praise for the playmaker:
Indeed, though he's somewhat rarely had the chance to show his top form in his best position at the Bernabeu, he demonstrated the kind of outstanding effort he's capable of.
Isco's footwork and ability to beat players are among his best qualities, as are his excellent passing range and vision, which he uses to forge opportunities for his team-mates.
His talents would likely see him thrive at either Bayern, Juve or Spurs, and he'd be a key player for the majority of clubs in Europe.
Navarrete believes he is fully deserving of a new deal at Real:
He's a useful squad player to have around at the Bernabeu, and with the club unable to register new players until 2018, it's people like him who will come in handy when Zidane needs to rest and rotate his men.
Further, the Frenchman's recent change of formation could have handed Isco a new lifeline as a regular starter at Real by allowing him to play in his natural position—if he can continue excelling there, it's only a matter of time before he's tied down on a new long-term deal.
