Fixing issues at the back must be the priority for Real manager Zinedine Zidane. Missing key players such as centre-backs Sergio Ramos and Pepe cost Los Merengues recently against Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Champions League.

Pepe still is likely to be missing as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem, per BBC Sport. It could mean another outing for the pairing of Raphael Varane and Nacho.
They struggled as Real settled for a 3-3 draw in Poland, despite going into a 2-0 lead. It was a match in which Zidane's goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, hardly covered himself in glory. Navas let Legia's second slip under his grasp.
Left-back Marcelo also missed the game in Warsaw, but the biggest loss might have been fellow Brazilian Casemiro. The holding midfielder provides vital balance in Zidane's attack-heavy teams. He also forms a crucial barrier in front of the back four.
There isn't another midfielder in this squad capable of offering what Casemiro does. Zidane will have to be selective about how he structures the middle against Leganes. He deployed two playmakers, Toni Kroos and Mateo Kovacic, against Legia, but Los Blancos were too open defensively.
The interesting question is whether Zidane will play two strikers again. He started both Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata in Warsaw.
However, given how Champions League rivals exploited his 4-2-4 formation, Zidane may want an extra body in midfield for the renewal of domestic action.

Zidane's biggest decision might involve whether to include Luka Modric. The Croatian pass-master is a hugely influential figure.
He's also back in training after injury, per the club's official site:
If Modric isn't fit enough, it will afford Kovacic a chance to prove his worth. The 22-year-old was outstanding in Warsaw, netting the late equaliser and playing a sublime pass in the buildup to Real's second.
Leganes have conceded six times without scoring in their last two matches, but they have talent. In particular, Argentinian winger Alexander Szymanowski could cause Real's depleted defence problems.
Still, he won't be enough to stop Real's table-toppers from extending their lead.
