Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri
Tottenham Hotspur won't be luring Sergio Aguero from Manchester City anytime soon after manager Mauricio Pochettino laughed off claims his club is interested in the striker. Elsewhere, Samir Nasri wishes to extend his stay at Sevilla.
Speculation emerged linking Spurs with a move for Manchester City marvel Aguero, but Pochettino could only laugh when quizzed on the chances of his outfit recruiting the Argentina international:

Even with Tottenham's rise in recent years, it's near impossible to imagine a club with such a stringent transfer policy moving for a player who would surely count as one of the most expensive signings in England.
Joe Short of the Daily Express interpreted Pochettino's reaction as cause to believe Spurs aren't interested in Aguero, although Squawka provided evidence to suggest the deal may not be value for money in any case:
Aguero holds a reputation as one of the deadliest finishers in Europe and holds a special place in Manchester City history, but the forward has endured his share of rough patches under new manager Pep Guardiola already.
According to Short, Guardiola could consider Aguero surplus to requirements if the Argentinian doesn't fit his design at the Etihad Stadium, although Bundesliga pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft was in disagreement:
Meanwhile, Daniel Cutts of the Sun reported Nasri—currently on loan at Sevilla—wishes to extend his stay in La Liga and will hold talks with parent club Manchester City this January to sort out his future plans.
The Frenchman left the Etihad this past summer on a season-long loan deal after falling down the pecking order at City, but Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney elaborated upon the resurgence Nasri has enjoyed in Spain:
The move to Sevilla has seen Nasri shoot from Manchester misfit to Sevilla superstar in a matter of months, with manager Jorge Sampaoli's side currently challenging for top spot in Spain's top flight.
ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan even recently suggested they might have done with the revived playmaker back at the Etihad following his bounce back to fine form:
Steven N'Zonzi recently spoke to Spanish daily AS (h/t Sport Witness) and gave a glowing review of his team-mate: “He’s very important on the field and technically very strong. He’s played for a lot of big clubs. His level really isn’t surprising. I played against him a few times in England, and I’ve never seen him have a bad game.”
According to Cutts, Sevilla don't have an option to buy Nasri at the end of the season, and the Spaniards may struggle to cut a deal if the 29-year-old impresses enough to warrant another chance back at City under Guardiola.
