Recap

The Flying Scotsman surrendered just a single leg in his win over namesake Anderson, averaging almost 97 on his way to the quarter-finals.
The two-time world champion lost just two legs in the first three sets and appeared to be on his way to a clean sweep, but he missed no less than seven match darts in a decider in the third to allow Anderson to pull one back.
Double 20 and double 16 gave him a quick two-leg lead in the fourth set, however, and he easily finished the job. As shared by PDCResults, the difference in average between the two was staggering:
Lewis and Van Barneveld were expected to serve up the top match of the night, and the two produced plenty of drama from the opening throw. Jackpot started things with a 14-darter, but Barney hit right back, forcing a decider in which his opponent missed five darts for the set.
His struggles continued, as he couldn't make a single double in the first leg of the second set. Van Barneveld was simply unstoppable in the second, taking a 2-0 lead on the night.
Lewis managed to stop his run in the third but couldn't close the distance, losing in a whitewash. Per Live Darts, Barney felt great about his performance:
Huybrechts put up some gaudy stats on his way to the quarter-finals, beating Bunting in straight sets thanks to a fantastic percentage on the doubles, per Live Darts:
The Belgian has struggled with consistency in the past but is one of the best pure scorers in the PDC, and with several top contenders already out of the tournament, Huybrechts could go deep this year.
Van de Pas took three sets in a row to beat Jenkins in the first match of the night, setting a personal benchmark in the process, per Live Darts:
Jenkins opened with a 12-darter and marched to an early lead, losing just a single leg in the opening set, but Van de Pas answered, taking out tops to even the score.
A decider followed in the third set, in which Jenkins missed three darts to grab another lead, and the two faced off in another decider in the fourth, where the Dutchman sealed his spot in the quarter-finals on double five.
