The Italian has scored seven goals in six games this season and has established himself as a prolific goalscorer and an effective creator in Serie A, per OptaPaolo:
Here are some of his highlights with the Neroverdi:
Berardi can play centrally but prefers playing on the right—were Spurs to land him, he wouldn't be stepping on Harry Kane's toes but playing alongside him.
As well as being quick and agile, he also works hard to regain possession for his side, per WhoScored.com:
His desire to press from the front would see him fit in well at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino.
WhoScored.com revealed a look at his progression in recent years:
Per Football Italia, Italian champions Juventus have an option to buy the forward, but he has thus far resisted the Bianconeri, so competing with them for his signature may not be an issue.
Prising him away from Sassuolo would undoubtedly be difficult given their desire to keep him, but a step up to a bigger club seems inevitable at some point—his addition to Spurs' squad would be an ambitious piece of business that further shows their intention of challenging for the Premier League title.

Meanwhile, Tottenham 'keeper Hugo Lloris is reportedly set to sign a new deal at the club alongside Toby Alderweireld, according to Steve Stammers and Tom Hopkinson of the Mirror.
In the summer, Stammers reported Lloris as a transfer target for Real Madrid.
The Frenchman has established himself as one of the best stoppers in world football and is one of Spurs' most crucial performers.
Tying him down on a long-term deal is imperative for the club—his presence greatly improves their chances of securing silverware, and a new contract will put the Lilywhites in an even stronger bargaining position should Real renew their interest in him.
