Indians—Royals: Royals Win 6-1
One day removed from being known as the team that ended the Royals' 12-game losing skid, the Indians are now responsible for a Kansas City winning streak.
KC ended the three game series winning the rubber match 6-1. The Tribe has now lost five series in a row.
Paul Byrd lasted 4.1 innings, giving up six runs on nine hits. He earned the loss and dropped to 2-5 on the season.

Scott Elarton closed out the game for Cleveland, throwing 3.2 innings, giving up two hits and no runs.
Brian Bannister picked up the win on 7.1 innings of five-hit ball. The lone run he gave up was a solo home run to Grady Sizemore in the top of the eighth.
After a 1-2-3 first, Byrd grooved a pitch to Jose Guillen that cleared the left field wall in short order.
The third saw Guillen pick up another RBI. Already surrendering a single to Alberto Callaspo and hitting Mark Grudzielanek with a pitch, Alex Gordon doubled in both runners and Guillen singled Gordon home, giving the Royals three in the third.
They finally chased Byrd in the fifth. A leadoff single by DeJesus and a home run by Grudzielanek rounded out Kansas City scoring and gave them a 6-0 lead.
Sizemore broke up the shutout in the top of the eighth when his home run cleared the left field fence, but the Indians offense was fairly silent other than that run.
Sizemore corralled two of the Tribe’s six hits, Ben Francisco, Ryan Garko, Jhonny Peralta, and Franklin Gutierrez collecting the other four.
The Indians travel to Arlington, Texas for a four game series against the Texas Rangers. 3-3 Aaron Laffey takes the hill versus the Rangers' Doug Mathis. Game time is 8:05 EST.
