Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours, Signings Eyed by Red Devils
AC Milan are reportedly considering a £24 million swoop to sign Manchester United misfit Memphis Depay next year. Meanwhile, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed Danny Drinkwater has no release clause in his contract.
It's well known Memphis has struggled to fit in at Old Trafford since moving to United from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, but Italian outlet Calciomercato reported Milan are nonetheless interested (h/t the Mirror's Aaron Flanagan).

Memphis moved to United for £25 million a little more than a year ago, but if reports of the Rossoneri's interest prove true, the club could stand to make a minimal—not to mention acceptable—loss on his signature.
There was so much expected of the Dutchman after former Netherlands and Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal brought him to the club, but the Telegraph's Paul Hayward detailed how he has fallen short:
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has played the Dutchman on four occasions so far this season, but those outings combine for a grand total of just 88 minutes on the pitch, per Transfermarkt.
SuperSport's Gary Al-Smith made a lofty prediction for the winger's future following a calamitous fall from grace at Old Trafford, although Milan still appear to believe they can revive the form that saw Depay net 28 goals for PSV in 2014-15:
Meanwhile, Ranieri has revealed former United midfielder Drinkwater has no release clause in his contract amid rumours his old club might consider launching another move to recruit his services for a second time.
The Leicester coach reassured Foxes fans he has no intention of cashing in on his stars, while uncovering an essential bit of news regarding Drinkwater's terms, per TalkSport:
"This is a good process to improve because one year ago nobody was asking about our players. Now there are big, big teams and my players must be very proud of this but maintain their way.
He signed a new contract and he doesn't have a clause and if Manchester want him it is okay. We don't want to sell anybody. We only lost [N'Golo] Kante because he had a clause but no other player we lost. We want to keep all the players and all the squad.
"
Drinkwater is still adapting to a new-look midfield after former team-mate Kante completed his move to Chelsea over the summer, with the Foxes losing an essential cog from last season's title-winning team.
That being said, Drinkwater is still an extremely important component in the Leicester lineup, per broadcaster Stan Collymore:
Drinkwater, 26, left Old Trafford for the King Power Stadium in 2012 after spending six years developing with the Red Devils before failing to earn his stripes as a first-team player.
He's since gone on to make 183 appearances for the Foxes and has a contract that runs until the summer of 2021, but if United do keep up their pursuit, the absence of a release clause could well aid Leicester's cause.
