Neymar Taunts Rival Club in Trending Videos After Brazilian Cup Win to Reach Quarterfinals
Neymar helped Santos advance to the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Cup with a victory over Remo and then let both the fans and opposing club officials know about it.
Video captured the Brazilian star taunting Remo staff and fans after the game:
ESPN's Adriana Garcia noted Neymar was shouting "eliminated, eliminated" at Remo management after Santos advanced to the quarterfinals 1-0 on aggregate. Neymar assisted the only goal, which was scored by Rony.
Remo president Antônio Carlos Teixeira didn't exactly hold back after the game and said (h/t Garcia), "It was a great campaign [by Remo]. That lowlife Neymar, who's idolised by loads of kids, pulled his antics here and still comes back to taunt us.
"We're to blame for idolising a bunch of lowlifes like that guy."
Garcia noted Neymar also posted a video on Instagram of himself being booed during warm-ups with a sarcastic "thank you for the love, Belém," caption.
Neymar is Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 80 goals and scored the team's lone goal in its 2-1 loss to Norway in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. It was his fourth World Cup in his illustrious career.
He has played for Barcelona, PSG, Al-Hilal and Santos in his career and features a list of accomplishments that includes seven domestic league titles, a Champions League title and two FIFA FIFPro World XI selections.
