Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Neymar and Douglas
A Spanish court has reopened a case regarding "alleged irregularities" of Neymar's blockbuster transfer from Santos to Barcelona.
The Associated Press (via the Mail Online) reported Brazilian investment group DIS had made a claim against Neymar, the player's father and former Blaugrana president Sandro Rosell—also citing former Santos president Odilio Rodrigues. The claim was initially rejected by a National Court judge, but prosecutors successfully overturned the decision on Friday.

Judge Angela Murillo Bordallo ruled that "there is still enough evidence to keep the case alive," according to the Associated Press. The investment group was entitled to 40 percent of Neymar's transfer fee received by his Brazilian team but claim they were given "a smaller compensation than it should have because part of the transfer fee was concealed."
Neymar has denied the claim, as have the other cited parties, per the Associated Press.
Football writer Diana Kristinne did not appear shocked by the latest news regarding the transfer dispute:
The superstar has recently been "courted" by Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but confirmed his intentions to stay at the Camp Nou, as quoted by Richard Arrowsmith of the Mail Onine. The Brazilian said: "I don't see myself away from Barca. It's not something I've pictured yet. I feel like an important part of the team and hopefully I can help them more and more."
Agent Wagner Ribeiro confirmed both PSG and United were prepared to break the world transfer record to sign the attacker this summer, with the Parisians offering the star "€40 million (£34 million) per year tax free, as well as a private jet and a stake in a global hotel business," according to Arrowsmith.

In other Blaugrana news, a Spanish newspaper has reported Douglas refused to move to Sporting Gijon on loan and staged a protest at Barca's club offices.
According to Ivan San Antonio of Sport, the 26-year-old wanted to stay with his parent club, despite being on the fringes of the first-team squad. The player had agreed to join the Liga team in August but changed his mind when apparently ready to sign the deal off and was described as "broken" at the prospect of leaving.
Barca consulted their lawyers as the defender continued to protest, but he was eventually persuaded to sign the contract and rubber stamp his temporary switch, per Antonio.
Douglas has completed only one game for Sporting since the deal, according to WhoScored.com, after featuring just once for Barca in La Liga last year.
The versatile Brazilian is in desperate need of minutes, and a strong season will either see him return to the Camp Nou on a high or place him firmly in the shop window.
The defender shone during his tenure at Sao Paulo, but the lack of opportunity in Catalonia has halted his progression and stunted his potential.
