Thompson a Promising FS Prospect for Giants
Thompson's injury is a tough break for the Giants defense, as he had earned a starting position and was playing well.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com further broke down Thompson's impact, noting: "Thompson's loss is a significant blow to the Giants defense. His emergence had allowed safety Landon Collins to thrive playing closer to the line of scrimmage. Thompson, a third-round pick out of Boise State, was the natural free safety the Giants had been longing for the past few years."
