Chelsea vs. Burnley: Antonio Conte's Key Pre-Match Press Conference Quotes
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted it will be tough to acquire all of his remaining transfer targets before the window’s deadline.
The Italian was addressing the media ahead of his team’s tussle with Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday. With Wednesday at 11 p.m. the cutoff to get players signed, the manager was naturally asked about potential deals, although his words won’t quicken the pulse of those associated with the Blues, per the team’s Twitter feed:

Chelsea have added Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante to the squad already this summer, with both players making a positive impact in the XI when they’ve been on the field.
Goalkeeper Eduardo is the only other senior player to join the club, although he’s anticipated to be a third choice goalkeeper, per the Chelsea website.
There have been some illustrious names linked to the Blues throughout the window, but Conte commented on how much of a challenge it has been to bring players in, per ESPN FC’s Jack Rathborn:

While there may be some concerns about adding to key areas of the squad at Stamford Bridge, there’s no denying Conte himself has had an immediate impact.
The former Juventus and Italy coach arrived in the capital with a stellar reputation, and with three wins from three competitive games, he couldn’t have asked for a better start.
However, Conte still feels as though there is room for improvement from his team:
Kante has been a major positive since joining the club, although Batshuayi’s return of three goals from as many games has really caught the eye.

Two of those strikes came in midweek during the win against Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup, as the Belgium international staked his place for a starting spot.
However, with Diego Costa netting winning goals in both Premier League games so far, Conte was adamant Batshuayi is not guaranteed to begin the contest:
Plenty of firepower will be needed if Chelsea are to get the better of a determined Burnley team, though, who will be feeling confident after an excellent 2-0 win over Liverpool last weekend.
The Italian, renowned for instilling unbending discipline into his side, praised the application of Clarets boss Sean Dyche and his players and commented on the standard of opponent across the English game:
After missing the dramatic turnaround win at Watford, it was also revealed that Willian remains a major doubt for Saturday’s contest:
Not getting in transfer targets would be a major blow for Conte, especially given the team is short in some vital areas. At left-back, in central defence and at the point of the attack, the Blues could do with an injection of quality. Despite his bleak predictions, you sense the Italian will be doing his utmost to bolster those positions before Wednesday’s deadline.
Even so, the early signs under the new manager have been extremely encouraging, as Conte has fashioned a Chelsea team that’s organised, adaptable and spirited, with late winners coming in both of their opening Premier League games.
On home soil against a newly promoted team, the Italian will be expecting another professional performance.
