Deadman Walking: WWE One Night Stand Results
It was originally a pay-per-view to let the Extreme rule just once more. It truly lived up to that ruling as tonight was WWE's "One Night Stand." Let's get to the results.
Falls Count Anywhere: Jeff Hardy defeats Umaga
There's still a little bad blood between these two from when they feuded over the Intercontinental Championship. This match quickly spilled out of the ring, and out of the building, where the two combatants took it to the trucks, with both using the vehicles as weapons, and even platforms.

Ultimately, Hardy was able to execute a Swanton Bomb off a truck onto Umaga for the win.
Singapore Cane Match: Big Show defeats Tommy Dreamer, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and CM Punk
This match was set up in order to determine the next number-one contender for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. It quickly became a 4-on-1, as everyone took turns taking out the 7-foot 400-pound Show before going after each other.
A funny moment occurred when Chavo accidentally hit the Chargers' Shawn Merriman.
Punk then handed Merriman a cane who proceeded to get his revenge. After Big Show entered the ring again, the others didn't have a chance. Show chokeslams Dreamer, stands him back up, and gives him a cane shot for good measure before making the cover.
Big Show will face Kane for the ECW Championship at Night of Champions.
First Blood Match: John Cena defeats JBL
JBL asked for this match after Cena eliminated him from the Fatal Four-Way match at Backlash, and then beat him at Judgment Day.
The rules were simple: Make your opponent bleed.
Both men used whatever they could, microphones, steel steps, exposed turnbuckles, you name it. After Cena managed to hit an FU, both men were slow to get up, but JBL hit a big boot, tying Cena up in the ropes.
JBL went to use a whip on Cena, but Cena hit a low blow, grabbed a chain, and began to choke out JBL, drawing blood from his mouth, and giving him the win.
Divas "I Quit" Match: Beth Phoenix defeats Melina
An odd match, considering that you don't usually see women competing in this type of match. Both the Paparazzi Princess and the Glamazon used whatever submission move they had in their arsenals, trying to end it as early as possible.
Phoenix executed her backbreaker, the same one used on both Melina and Mickie James (at the same time) at Judgment Day. Melina tried to get the best of the Glamazon, but the experienced Phoenix would not give up.
She locked in the Glamazon Stretch, and unfortunately, that spelled the end for the Paparazzi Princess. Melina was forced to say "I Quit."
Stretcher Match: Batista defeats Shawn Michaels
In another rematch from Backlash, Batista showed pure dominance from the opening bell.
He took it outside to attempt a quick win by loading HBK onto the stretcher and wheeling it toward the finish line, but Michaels fought it off. After nailing Sweet Chin Music, HBK had a golden opportunity at victory, but his tired state would not allow it.
Chris Jericho came out twice and tried to will HBK on, but the Showstopper just didn't have it in him, as a Spinebuster on top of the steel steps took the last ounce of hope out of Michaels, and Batista rolled on to victory.
Last Man Standing: Triple H defeats Randy Orton (WWE Championship)
Triple H handled the early part of this match, with Orton getting little offense until connecting a DDT to "The Game" on the steel steps. Orton's first three RKO attempts would be countered and the Cerebral Assassin would regain his momentum.
Orton was the first to be down for the count, but he would get up by six. HHH then was taken out by Orton and just beat the 10 count, getting up at nine.
Orton made a fifth attempt at the RKO, but Triple H reversed it and hurled Orton over the top rope, breaking his collarbone. The King of Kings then goes for an old friend: The Sledgehammer.
The Game nails Orton, knocking the Legend Killer out cold for the 10-count. Triple H retains the WWE Championship in his third straight PPV win over Orton.
TLC Match: Edge defeats Undertaker (World Heavyweight Championship)
After a countout victory for the Undertaker at Judgment Day, the World Heavyweight Title remained vacated, but tonight, there will be a winner. Taker started out with a big boot and the "Old School" rope-walking.
Edge gained a little time by seesawing a ladder into the Deadman's face, then stacking up two tables on top of each other, with Taker doing the same.
The ladders would come into play first though, as both competitors were thrown into ladders lying flat in the ring. Taker attempted a Last Ride on one, but the Ultimate Opportunist reversed it into a low-blow.
As Taker hit Edge with a Chokeslam onto a ladder, Vickie's Master Plan came to fruition as Hawkins & Ryder showed up.
The two Edgeheads placed the Deadman on a table, but Taker recovers, sends Hawkins flying out of the ring through a table, and chokeslams Ryder through another.
Edge then sends the Deadman out of the ring with a spear and stacks two tables in the ring. Taker gets back up quickly though, and chases Edge up the ladder, giving him a Last Ride through the two tables in the ring.
As it looked like Taker would regain his belt, Chavo and Bam Neely came out and attacked Taker. After sending them packing, he began to climb the ladder. Edge regained his composure and tipped the ladder, sending Taker to the outside.
Edge scaled the ladder without any problems, grabbed the belt, and brought the World Heavyweight Championship back to the Guerrero family. In the process, he also ended the illustrious decade and a half career of the Phenom.
What repercussions will stem from this One Night Stand? Tune in to RAW on Monday night at 9/8c on The USA Network and The Score for more!
