Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Oguzhan Ozyakup, Paddy McNair Rumours
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly sought advice from West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic on whether he should sign Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup this summer. Also, Paddy McNair has been linked with a loan move to Celtic.
Bilic left the Besiktas helm just over a year ago, and according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik (h/t Turkish Football), the Croatian tactician gave former charge Ozyakup a glowing review for Mourinho.

The 23-year-old has just enjoyed his most successful season to date as Besiktas ran to the 2015-16 Super Lig title, scoring 10 goals and recording eight assists in 41 games across all competitions.
WhoScored.com highlighted the former Arsenal academy member as one of the Turkish top flight's key playmakers last season, level-pegging with a certain former Manchester United player:
It bodes well for United that Arsenal once recruited Ozyakup, indicating his passing quality has been evident since a young age, while Besiktas are likely to be easier negotiators should the Red Devils opt to make their move.
It's been four years since the player left north London to return to his native Turkey, but OptaCan pointed to the player's 2015-16 campaign as his real breakthrough:
Ozyakup currently has two years remaining on his contract with Besiktas, and the Turkish champions could be tempted into a sale if they feel their midfield star has his eyes fixed on the club's exit.
That being said, United's very public pursuit of Juventus star Paul Pogba is likely to supersede any other midfield deals at this moment in time, even if Bilic was very complimentary in his report.

Elsewhere, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be scouting United defender McNair as a potential loan recruit this summer, and when recently asked about signing the player, Rodgers replied: "I can’t deny or say yes or no because there have been so many players who have been thrown our way or linked with Celtic."
MailOnline's Mike Anstead recently noted McNair was one of numerous United youngsters told to search for first-team football elsewhere this season:
Former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Mourinho has never shown too much of a preference for promoting youth talent in his career and generally prefers players nearing or currently in their prime.
McNair has made 27 senior appearances for United and managed to start three Premier League games last season, but his chances at Old Trafford look limited following the £30 million arrival of Eric Bailly.
