C.J. Wilson to Saints: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction
The New Orleans Saints made minor adjustments to their roster Friday, signing defensive lineman C.J. Wilson and placing cornerback Kyle Wilson on injured reserve.
Executive vice president and general manager Mickey Loomis announced the moves in a press release on the team's official website. On Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed Kyle Wilson had suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder, which was the reason behind the move.
C.J. Wilson spent four seasons with the Green Bay Packers after they selected him in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL draft.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He started 11 games for the team, racking up 52 tackles and 3.5 sacks while playing at defensive end and tackle during his tenure in the Frozen Tundra.
The East Carolina product had arguably his best season with the Oakland Raiders in 2014. He started seven games and totaled 16 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery while playing a more significant role on Oakland's defensive front. C.J. Wilson split the 2015 season with the Detroit Lions and the Raiders, but he failed to make much of an impact for either team.
Kyle Wilson's loss could hurt the Saints, who struggled to defend the pass last season, when New Orleans allowed the second-most passing yards in the NFL.
The former Boise State star played in 15 games for the Saints last season after coming over from the New York Jets. He recorded one of the team's nine interceptions.
D. Scott Alexander of Scout.com noted Kyle Wilson's injury will test the depth in the team's secondary:
New Orleans was tied for 25th in the league with 31 sacks last year, and C.J. Wilson is unlikely to do much to alleviate that concern. However, he has shown to be a quality player who can help bring a veteran presence to a young defensive line that includes 2016 first-round pick Sheldon Rankins.
