Miguel Cabrera Smashes 2-Run Homer Out of Comerica Park
No one was going to catch Miguel Cabrera's monstrous home run to left-center field—not an outfielder or even a fan.
In fact, no one in Comerica Park even stood a chance.
The Detroit Tigers first baseman got things going early, smashing a ball over the wall, over the crowd and into the street for a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning.

Even more impressive? According to MLB.com Director of Baseball Research and Development Daren Willman, the homer, which Cabrera sent scorching through the air at 111.8 mph, was only Miggy's second-hardest-hit ball of the year.
More ridiculous still? The approximate 454 feet the ball traveled is runner-up to the Tigers' longest homer of the season.
Despite its secondary statistical status, however, Cabrera still, well, knocked it out of the park.
