US Open Golf Schedule 2016: Saturday Tee Times, TV Coverage, Live Stream, More

Brian MarronJun 18, 2016

Due to weather delays on Thursday, Saturday's 2016 U.S. Open play will feature an uneven slate of some golfers finishing their second rounds, while much of the field will start round 2.

Dustin Johnson was excellent on Friday, as he surged to a tie with Andrew Landry at four under after playing 36 holes at Oakmont. Landry is only one round in, so there will be pressure on him to maintain his play knowing he is so far behind Johnson in terms of overall strokes.

The extensive list of Saturday tee times can be found at USOpen.com, and take a look below at the tournament's television schedule for the day.

For additional reference, here is the updated scoreboard as play gets underway:

Landry and Jordan Spieth will be the two most-watched players to start their second rounds on Saturday.

According to Fox Sports' Chris Chase, Landry's 66 in round 1 was the lowest ever in a U.S. Open round at Oakmont. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus never shot lower than 68, and Landry is only playing in his 13th PGA event.

This makes his current share of the lead rather unlikely, but he is not stressing out, per Steve DiMeglio of USA Today.

"I think the U.S. Open just suits my game so well that I'm just able to manage these things because I'm not a guy that's going to go out and shoot 60 and 61 and 62. I'm just a consistent guy that's going to shoot 68 and make a lot of pars," Landry said, before adding that there is still plenty of golf left to play.

He is going to need to continue to play the best golf of his life, as Spieth looks primed to defend his U.S. Open title.

He is quietly sitting at just two over with 54 holes to play. Yet, he is still feeling confident after his first round, per the Golf Channel's Ryan Lavner.

"I felt like I played well,” he said. “I felt like I didn’t quite get rewarded with my score for how I felt like I played. A couple of tough breaks. It’s a U.S. Open. Still in it.”

Spieth has a legitimate reason to be confident. He has finished in the top five of his last five major appearances. There is also uncertainty near the top of the leaderboard, as no player is an established winner major tournaments.

Lowry cannot be expected to have the same amount of success for the rest of the competition, so he will drop a bit. Spieth has plenty of room to improve, so look for him to learn from his mistakes and climb up the leaderboard on Saturday.
