Chelsea Transfer News: Dimitri Payet Price Tag Emerges Amid Blues Rumours
Chelsea will reportedly have to fork out £60 million if they're to have any hope of signing Dimitri Payet from West Ham United this summer, with the winger benefitting from a whirlwind start at Euro 2016.
The France international scored the winner in Les Bleus' 2-1 win over Romania on Friday evening, and Goal's Harry Sherlock (h/t Liam Spence and Jack Staplehurst of the Daily Express) reported that the Hammers now have a £60 million asking price on their man.

Spence also sourced Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who linked Chelsea as one of the front-runners looking to sign Payet from their London rivals following his stellar improvements at Upton Park.
The Mirror's Jack Lang recently reported that Payet's international team-mate, Patrice Evra, believes moving to a setting like Upton Park helped Payet realise his potential, despite turning 29 this year:
West Ham are poised for an upscale move to the Olympic Stadium this summer, but that shouldn't affect the fact that Payet has thrived since joining the modest Premier League outfit from Marseille last summer.
His adaptation to England's top flight has been an incredibly swift one, and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard reacted to Payet's superb, curling winner against Romania with shock:
As high as the alleged price tag may appear, the Blues know Payet to be a success in the Premier League after he scored 12 goals and tallied 15 assists in 38 appearances during his maiden English campaign.
Payet's prowess from set pieces is also well known to the European masses now, but Squawka Dave illustrated that the Frenchman is more than capable of creating chances for those around him:
Chelsea face a dilemma in which players to keep this summer, with the likes of Pedro and Juan Cuadrado struggling to make the transition to England following moves from Barcelona and Fiorentina, respectively.
Depending on the futures of those players, the west Londoners may have funds to free up for signings out wide this summer, but much will also rest with the tactics inbound manager Antonio Conte hopes to employ.

Should Payet's £60 million valuation prove genuine, West Ham stand to make back almost six times the £10.7 million they paid Marseille for his services in 2015, a stellar return in the space of 12 months.
However, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also signalled by Spence as being interested in the winger, and both Spanish giants can offer the added extra of UEFA Champions League football next season.
