Manchester United Transfer News: Fresh Alvaro Morata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic Rumours
Juventus striker Alvaro Morata would reportedly prefer a move to Manchester United over Chelsea this summer, but the Spaniard won't switch to Old Trafford if free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic joins the club.
According to Spanish radio station Onda Cero (h/t Sky Sports), Morata's preference is a move to Old Trafford if the Premier League is to be his next destination, but he doesn't want to compete with Ibrahimovic.

It could mean the Red Devils face a dilemma over who to recruit this summer, with Ibrahimovic, 34, almost guaranteeing short-term success up front, while Morata, 23, promises big things for the years to come.
Manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with moves for both attackers in recent weeks, and Spanish daily Marca (h/t Alex Young of Goal) reported United would be willing to pay "upwards of €60 million (£47 million)" to land him.
That's the fee Real Madrid are alleged to be charging for Morata's signature should they exercise their €32 million (£25 million) buyback clause to re-sign the Juve frontman, who isn't a guaranteed starter in Turin.
Instead, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic each prevented Morata from gaining a consistent place in manager Massimiliano Allegri's starting XI. Sky Sport Italia's Fabrizio Romano previously reported Chelsea are already in talks to recruit the forward:
United have been the most prominently linked outfit in a move for Ibrahimovic, and Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas reported the deal was on hold until after Euro 2016, suggesting the free agent's next career step is all but complete.
Sweden coach Erik Hamren appeared to confirm the deal when insisting his superstar striker—who scored 50 goals in 51 games for Paris Saint-Germain last season—would have to wait until after Euro 2016:
"Players have their leisure time on the schedule, what they do then there's nothing I can do to control. But it would not be okay for Zlatan to fly to Manchester.
I'm one hundred percent sure (the furore) it will not affect Zlatan. He has been in the business a long time. He handles it perfectly.
The players of the national team are accustomed to all the rumors surrounding Zlatan too. They are familiar with it. There is absolutely nothing that has affected us negatively in the group."
Morata left Real Madrid in 2014 after the quality of star players in the squad meant his first-team path was obstructed, and he's now at a point in his career where he wants assurances over playing time.
However, Ibrahimovic—who would demand wages of £250,000 a week if he moves to United, per Young—carries a certain prestige with him and wouldn't be expected to drop to any team's bench.
CNN recently showed evidence the 34-year-old has lost none of his confidence:
Mourinho's United can take heart in the knowledge that even without the offer of UEFA Champions League football next season, they can consider themselves favourites in the hunt to sign Morata.
That being said, the club could be more focused on finding the finished product rather than another young gun, meaning they may not be able to pass on their chance to sign a star like Ibrahimovic.
