Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor: Preview and Prediction for WWE NXT TakeOver: The End
Finn Balor's rivalry with Samoa Joe will end at NXT TakeOver: The End on Wednesday with an undoubted Match of the Year candidate.
Set inside the chaotic backdrop of a steel cage, NXT's two flagship stars will wage war on each other like never before.
Joe's shock victory at a live event back in April sent shockwaves through the promotion, but six weeks on from that dramatic night, Balor will get his rematch in a bout that could well be his last in NXT.

The Irishman has been a fine servant for the brand since he debuted in 2014, spending almost two full years on the NXT roster. But he now seems ready to move to the main roster, allowing the next clutch of stars in NXT to step up and challenge for the NXT Championship.
That means we're set for an explosive finale for Finn as he brings the curtain down on his time with NXT, and the brand will push the boat out to ensure Balor's swan song is arguably the most historic and significant match in its history.
Why? There have only been two gimmick matches to date in NXT history, both of them involving ladders.
This is the first time the brand has ever incorporated a steel cage, meaning that we're not only set for something unique, but something altogether more explosive than anything seen before on NXT TV.
Watching Joe and Balor's feud unravel in the last six months, it is obvious that this bout will be brutal to the extreme, especially considering they'll be doing it all encased in steel.
WWE is making a big deal of the fact that it's Balor's first time inside a cage, and that he will thus be at a disadvantage. But if there's one man of the two who will thrive inside the structure, it will be the demonic Balor.
His aerial prowess will surely come to the fore when he climbs to the top of the cage, with some incredible spots expected as both men put their bodies on the line.
Gimmick matches are done so frequently on the main roster that they can begin to lose their appeal, and the cage match certainly falls into that category, given the amount of throwaway bouts with that gimmick in recent years.
But in the old-school backdrop of NXT, they're so few and far between that you can pretty much guarantee that when they're introduced on that brand, they are bound to be spectacular.
NXT's TakeOver shows rarely disappoint. There was initial confusion over the name of this week's show when it was first revealed, but it now seems apparent that it is a reference to the final call for Balor vs. Joe.
"It's called The End because it's the end of the Bálor and Joe feud. That's it. https://t.co/lr1cOokEgI

Two great wrestlers will settle their differences once and for all inside a match type not seen on NXT before. However, with Finn now destined for a move to the main roster ahead of the summer, this will be a night that ends in disappointment for the Irishman, as Joe will manage to escape with his title around his waist.
Joe is proving to be a fine character to sit as the brand's top heel and is beginning to form a brilliant run with the NXT Championship. With Balor finally cast aside, this will give him the momentum to move forward and take on new, fresh challengers as he becomes the face of NXT.
But if their feud up to now is anything to go by, it won't be without an almighty fight from Balor at TakeOver: The End.
