Bryant Comments on Recovery
Monday, Aug. 29
The Dallas Morning News' Jon Machota provided Bryant's comments following Sunday's practice session:
"I didn't really too much think it was a concussion. It was just symptoms or whatever. I felt fine. I have to, I guess, follow protocol and all that kind of stuff. I was really ready to go back, but I have to listen to them.
I'm good. I'm excited. Nothing's changed. I'm just ready to go.

I'm going to catch anything that's thrown to me. Really, with how I'm feeling right now, I'm feeling unstoppable.
"
Following his injury, Bryant tweeted to assure Cowboys fans he expected to be fine:

Cowboys Need Bryant Healthy for Playoff Push
The Pro Bowl wideout is coming off an injury-plagued campaign that saw him catch a career-low 31 passes for 401 yards. He suffered a foot injury in September that cost him nearly two months of action before going on injured reserve for the season's final two games. A bone graft procedure in January was supposed to have him ready by training camp.
Bryant avoided the physically unable to perform list and started training camp with the team. Perhaps the NFL's best red-zone target from 2012 to 2014, Bryant said his goal for 2016 was to be even better than before his injury.
Per Machota, Bryant said:
"Man, I'm not even trying to [get back] to 2014. I'm past that. I'm going to be better than that. I'm going to. The way we've been working, the way the coaches have been on us, the way we've been holding each other accountable, I think that alone is going to make us all be better than what we were in these past years.
"
The Cowboys would likely settle for any version of a healthy Bryant at this point. Their passing offense completely imploded in 2015 due to injuries to Bryant and Tony Romo, taking a 2014 division winner and transforming it into a 4-12 doormat.
Romo suffered a back injury on Aug. 25 and although rookie Dak Prescott has impressed during the preseason, Dallas has little chance of unseating Washington in the NFC East if Bryant doesn't stay healthy.
