NBA Betting Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Game 4 Odds

OddsShark.comMay 24, 2016

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been impressive so far in the Western Conference Finals, taking a 2-1 series lead with a 133-105 rout of the top-seeded Golden State Warriors as 2.5-point home underdogs in Game 3 on Sunday.

The Thunder are again listed as home underdogs for Game 4 on Tuesday, this time sitting as two-point dogs versus the Warriors at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.

Golden State was expected to be without power forward Draymond Green after he kicked Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams in the groin in Game 3, but he was not suspended and instead simply saw his flagrant-1 foul upgraded to a flagrant-2.

One more technical foul will now lead to a suspension for Green, who played poorly overall with a minus-43 rating, totaling just six points on 1-of-9 shooting from the field with four rebounds and four turnovers.

Green is averaging just 13 points and 5.7 rebounds in the Western Conference Finals after scoring 22.2 points and grabbing 11.2 boards per game in the previous round against the Portland Trail Blazers.

While Green needs to perform better, so does the backcourt of two-time MVP Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, who combined for 42 points in Game 3 on 15-of-36 shooting (41.7 percent), including 5-of-19 from three-point range (26.3).

The league’s highest-scoring duo had 43 points on 14-of-32 shooting (43.8 percent) in a 118-91 Game 2 victory.

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan has outcoached Golden State’s Steve Kerr through the first three games, finding a way to limit Curry and Thompson while keeping the rest of the Warriors from going off.

Curry, the NBA’s leading scorer during the regular season with 30.1 points per game, has not had more than 28 this series and will likely need to top that average if his team is going to successfully defend its conference title.

The Warriors are 2-4 against the spread in their last six games, according to the Odds Shark NBA Database, and the under is 3-1 in the past four meetings with Oklahoma City. The Thunder are 5-1 straight up and ATS in their previous six overall.
