Chelsea Transfer News: Radamel Falcao Plan Discussed by Monaco, Latest Rumours
May 16, 2016
Chelsea misfit Radamel Falcao will make his return to parent club Monaco this summer, and the club's vice-president has said he's almost certain to remain there. Plus, John Terry is "torn" on whether to sign a new Stamford Bridge deal.
Speaking to French radio station RMC, Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev said Falcao most likely won't be heading out on loan again this summer (h/t CalcioMercato): “Falcao will be back and I almost sure that he’ll stay here next season. We are fixing some details, but it is very likely that he’ll be wearing the AS Monaco shirt next season."

There aren't likely to have been many Blues supporters calling for Falcao to be handed a new opportunity in west London after a dismal season on loan at Stamford Bridge, scoring just one goal for the club.
In fact, the London Evening Standard ranked the Colombia international as the worst of the Blues bunch this season, struggling to feature and cope with his recurring injury setbacks:
Falcao arrived at Chelsea on temporary terms last year, and the thought was axed chief Jose Mourinho could save the striker's form following his similarly disappointing loan spell at Manchester United the season prior.
However, Falcao will now leave the Premier League having scored just five goals in 41 total appearances with the two English outfits. What's more, his international prominence has also begun to suffer, per Unibet:
The 30-year-old boasts a much more pleasing record in Ligue 1 and netted 13 goals in 22 outings for Monaco before moving to Old Trafford in the summer of 2014.
The French giants will hope a consistent spell of fitness, free from any pressures posed by the English top flight, could be enough to restore his status as one of the deadliest forwards on the planet.
Meanwhile, Blues stalwart Terry is said to be in a "real dilemma" regarding his next career step, facing the prospect of a wage cut at Stamford Bridge or a departure for pastures new.

According to Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard, Terry was offered a new Chelsea contract last week, but the new terms include a significant salary cut and would mean accepting a less prominent role in the first team.
That contrasts against the offers he's reportedly attracted from Chinese Super League clubs Shanghai SIPG, Guangzhou Evergrande and Jiangsu Suning, where he could earn up to £230,000 a week and prolong his career, according to the Sun (h/t James Dickenson of the Express).
Terry appeared teary-eyed in front of the Stamford Bridge audience after their last game of the season against champions Leicester City on Sunday, which may yet be his last time on the pitch as a player.
