Kenny Moore Released by Colts After Seeking Trade, Top Landing Spots for CB
After spending all nine seasons of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, veteran cornerback Kenny Moore II will be looking for a new home.
On Thursday, the Colts announced that Moore has been released and paid tribute to him with a highlight video. The two sides mutually agreed to seek a trade last month.

New Report on Colts-Richardson Situation
Moore is a versatile cornerback who can play on the outside and in the slot. Some of the teams that could use a veteran defender of his caliber include the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 2025, Moore played in 14 games and recorded 55 total tackles, six passes defended, two forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks and an interception that he returned 32 yards for a touchdown.
Moore was entering the final year of a three-year, $30 million extension he signed in 2024, but he had no guaranteed money remaining on his deal. His departure from Indianapolis was amicable, as he sent a text to ESPN's Stephen Holder saying, "It's all good. It's all love," after agreeing to seek a trade.
Moore is the latest veteran to part ways with the Colts this offseason. The team lost defensive end Kwity Paye to free agency and traded linebacker Zaire Franklin to the Green Bay Packers and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Without Moore, Indianapolis will turn to the talented cornerback tandem of Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward. Second-year cornerback Justin Walley will likely take over in the slot.
The new-look Colts are hoping to return to playoff contention next season, but they will have to do so without one of their longtime leaders after parting ways with Moore.
