IPL Schedule 2016: Livestream, TV Info, Upcoming Fixtures and T20 Odds
Bottom-of-the-table Kings XI Punjab are highly unlikely to make the play-offs in the 2016 Indian Premier League, but they could yet play a big role in deciding who does get to the knockout rounds.
Their opponents on Friday, Mumbai Indians, are one of the sides in a very tight mid-table battle, and a defeat to Kings XI would throw their chances of advancing past the league stage into serious jeopardy.
Mumbai have blown hot and cold throughout the tournament, but they have a strong group of players and will be eager to at least earn the chance to successfully defend their 2015 title in the latter stages.
Read on for a full preview of Friday's crucial encounter, along with odds, full scheduling and broadcasting details for the upcoming fixtures in IPL 9.

Frustratingly for Kings XI fans, the Punjab outfit have shown recently they are capable of beating some of the best sides in the competition.
However, they are also capable of falling to calamitous losses. They claimed just one win from their first five matches, which put them on the back foot straight away.
Their form has been on the up recently, but it looks to have come a little too late.
Last time out Kings XI lost by just one run to Royal Challengers Bangalore, with skipper Murali Vijay hitting a 57-ball 89 in one of the matches of the tournament, per Cricbuzz:
Ahead of the RCB loss, KXIP beat an in-form Delhi Daredevils by nine runs, while the preceding narrow defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders came just after a triumph over Gujarat Lions.
These have been glimmers of hope in a disappointing season for Kings XI.
And Mumbai should not take them lightly just because they are currently propping up the table.
The Indians need every win they can get their hands on at the moment, and they will be looking to their key players to make the difference against Kings XI.
Captain Rohit Sharma is the main man in the side, and if he can make a telling contribution at the top of the order, then Mumbai should prevail.
However, should he fail, there is still plenty more quality in the side, not least in the bowling department.
Kings XI have a number of terrific batsmen in their lineup—Vijay, Hashim Amla, Wriddhiman Saha and David Miller—but they have often failed this season to jell as a unit.
If Mumbai's strong attack of Jasprit Bumrah, Tim Southee, Mitchell McClenaghan and Harbhajan Singh can make early inroads and back up their batting lineup, then the defending champions should keep their hopes alive of mounting a successful title defence.
