Bruce Boudreau to Wild: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Shortly after being fired by the Anaheim Ducks, Bruce Boudreau is the new head coach of the Minnesota Wild.
On April 7, TSN's Darren Dreger reported Boudreau chose the Wild over the Ottawa Senators.
The Minnesota Wild then proceeded to confirm Dreger's report:

"I told my wife this is the last place I'm going," Boudreau said, per Michael Russo of the Star Tribune. "I hope to bring a Stanley Cup to this city, or these two cities."
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported the contract details for Minnesota's new coach:
After leading Anaheim to four straight Pacific Division titles, Boudreau was fired after the Nashville Predators knocked the Ducks out of the first round of the playoffs. It was the team's fourth consecutive Game 7 playoff loss, which seemed to seal his fate in Anaheim. Boudreau is a career 1-7 in Game 7s.
Boudreau also coached the Washington Capitals to four division championships before his time in Anaheim. He is the fastest coach ever to 400 wins, per the Star Tribune.
The guy can obviously coach, but whether it is bad luck or his doing, Boudreau struggles when the pressure is at its highest in the playoffs. However, this seems to be a great fit for Minnesota, although it is a tough break for John Torchetti, who took over the team midway through the season and led it to a playoff berth.
With stars like Charlie Coyle, Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, the Wild have a strong roster that is loaded with depth and a solid goaltender in Devan Dubnyk. Perhaps some discipline from Boudreau will get this team over the hump to become a serious contender in the Western Conference.
