Germain Ifedi to Seahawks: Twitter Reacts as OT Is Selected in 2016 NFL Draft
The Seattle Seahawks didn't pick in the first round of the prior three NFL drafts, but they finally made a first-round pick after a trade with the Denver Broncos to go from No. 26 to the No. 31 and final pick of Thursday's action. Seattle wound up selecting Texas A&M Aggies offensive tackle Germain Ifedi to cap off the evening.
Twitter finally got to react to a Seahawks first-round pick for the first time since 2013 following the slight delay brought on by the Broncos deal.
NFL.com's Chris Trapasso liked how Ifedi's skill set will translate to the pros:

Here's the best of the rest:
Trades for explosive pass-catchers in Percy Harvin and Jimmy Graham in 2013 and 2015 respectively left Seattle without first-round picks in those years, and in 2014 the team traded with the Minnesota Vikings for future draft choices.
Now the Seahawks have added a viable piece to their championship-caliber core of players in Ifedi. Football Outsiders rated Seattle 30th in pass protection last season, and Ifedi should help in that area whether he plays tackle or guard in the pros.
The earliest part of the draft isn't where Seattle has made its living building an exceptional roster in recent years, though.
Its famous 2012 class unearthed All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner in the second round and a franchise QB in Wilson in Round 3. The "Legion of Boom" secondary features former fifth-round picks Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor as two of its cornerstones.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider also brought in a magnificent rookie receiver in Tyler Lockett last year as a third-round selection.
Solid as Seattle's choice of Ifedi was Thursday—not to mention the acquisition of a 2016 third-round pick in the Denver trade, per Broncos VP of public relations Patrick Smyth—the team is just getting started in the 2016 draft.
