Anthony Dirrell vs. Caleb Truax: Time, Live Stream for Premier Boxing Champions
Former WBC super middleweight champion Anthony "The Dog" Dirrell (28-1-1) wants to regain his title. The next step in that process takes place Friday when he takes on veteran challenger Caleb "The Golden" Truax (26-2-2, 16 KO) in the co-main event of the Premier Boxing Champions event that also features Dirrell's brother, Andre.
The latter will be in action against Blake Caparello in the main event.
Anthony lost his title in April 2015 against the rugged Badou Jack via majority decision. Dirrell has tons of regrets about the way he fought and the close decision. Per Jason Bracelin of PBC, Dirrell said:
"I was flat. I knew it. Knew it from the first round. Sometimes, I tried to get out of it, see if I could fight my way out of it—that's why I was standing there fighting with him. The 11th and 12th rounds I definitely beat him. Easy. That's what I should have done the whole fight. I really don't think he did enough to win that fight. You've got to beat the champion completely, convincingly. In my eyes, a majority decision doesn't go to the challenger; it goes to the champion. But it is what it is, water under the bridge.
"

Can The Dog get himself back in position to challenge for another title? Truax isn't going to give him the victory. Here's how you can watch the bout:

Dirrell Punishes Rubio

It looked like Dirrell was taking out his frustrations on Marco Antonio Rubio when he battered him for 10 rounds in September 2015. In his first fight since the loss to Jack, Dirrell won every round on all three judges' scorecards en route to a clear unanimous-decision victory over Rubio.
The Mexican veteran is known as a strong puncher (51 KOs in 68 fights), but Dirrell used his superior athleticism and a relentless attack to totally outclass his opponent.
If there was any question how his first professional loss would affect his psyche, those concerns were quickly put to rest.
Truax Beats Betancourt

Coming off the first stoppage loss of his career to WBA regular middleweight champion Danny Jacobs in April 2015, Truax made short work of Melvin Betancourt in February.
Truax stopped the power-punching 29-year-old Dominican in the fourth round. It was Betancourt's third straight defeat, with all three coming by stoppage. That fight took place at middleweight.
Truax is returning to the 168-pound division for this bout. Does he have the goods to derail The Dog?
Prediction
Truax is a tough professional fighter, but he doesn't bring anything special to the table. He's got a good chin, respectable power and average athleticism.
Dirrell is a naturally bigger man with more punching power and overall skills. He should win this one by lopsided unanimous decision.
