Joe PantornoApr 26, 2016

The Toronto Raptors rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Indiana Pacers 102-99 in Game 5 of the teams' first-round Eastern Conference playoff series Tuesday.

The Raptors entered the fourth quarter at Air Canada Centre down 90-77, but they outscored the Pacers 25-9 in the final frame, including a 21-2 run to start the quarter.

Toronto held a three-point lead with 13.9 seconds to go, but the Pacers had possession and an opportunity to tie the game.

Indiana guard Monta Ellis drove to the basket to try to get a quick two. He missed the shot, but the ball was ruled to have gone off of Toronto's Bismack Biyombo and out of bounds.

The play still didn't sit well with Matt Glenesk of the Indianapolis Star:

Sportswriter Eric Koreen also tried to wrap his mind around Ellis' decision:

The Pacers had a chance to tie the game with 2.7 seconds remaining. Ellis inbounded the ball to Paul George, who passed to Solomon Hill, who hoisted up an uncontested three—and drained it.

The problem was, he didn't get the shot off before the buzzer, via the NBA on TNT:

NBA.com's John Schuhmann kept it simple when he saw the replay of Hill's winner that wasn't:
