WWE Payback 2016: Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at PPV
WWE Payback 2016 offers fans the most exciting pay-per-view card in months, and certainly the most intriguing in the show's brief history.
There is potential for upsets and surprises throughout the card, with dramatic turns surely a given.
But where are we going to see the most likely turns this weekend? Here are three that stand out, and unsurprisingly, they all come in the same point of the night.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
AJ Styles
As you would expect, the most likely turns on the night are going to come from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between AJ Styles and Roman Reigns.
It's almost guaranteed that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are going to make their presence felt on the night, but who will they align with?
The first option is obviously AJ Styles, leading to the formation of the Bullet Club all over again, this time in WWE.
However, although Styles, Gallows and Anderson joining forces would make sense on several levels, it would be strange to turn AJ Styles heel at this time.
He's massively over and could spend the next few months at the top end of the card, so turning him heel and putting him at the head of the Bullet Club doesn't seem that likely.
Instead, expect Gallows and Anderson to screw over Styles.
Finn Balor
He's dropped the NXT Championship and teased to fans that he may well be done with that brand—so does that mean Finn Balor is headed for the main roster?
If so, showing up at Payback could coincide with him turning heel and screwing over AJ Styles at the show this weekend.
With Styles rejecting the help of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson—or at least appearing to distance himself from them—will they respond by siding with Balor to take out Styles?
There's an obvious story there with the history of all four men in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and it makes sense to have Gallows and Anderson decide they're going to screw Styles over after being rejected by him.
It would be a risk to turn Balor heel given his success as a babyface in NXT, yes, but it could be a masterstroke if booked correctly.
Roman Reigns
The third option for Gallows and Anderson is the most shocking of all—but it would attract plenty of headlines and attention.
Roman Reigns seems to be on a slow road toward becoming a heel, but could WWE rush the process in a gigantic leap of faith this weekend by having him become the leader of a new Bullet Club?
With Styles clearly not wanting to side with Gallows and Anderson—or so it seems—could Reigns be the man who gets the help this weekend in order to retain his title?
You could then have Styles go over even more as a huge babyface, which seems like the best plan of action right now.
It would be dramatic and looks like a long shot, but turning Reigns completely heel here does make a lot of sense.
