WWE Should Build Up The Bullet Club vs. The Shield for Later This Year

Aaron BowerApr 20, 2016

With WWE's intent to signal a new era following WrestleMania 32, some of the company's newest talents should plan a potential war against a stable that has enjoyed roaring success in recent years.

The introduction of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson strikes up all sorts of possibilities of a Bullet Club reunion. It could be with AJ Styles, with Finn Balor or even with both.

And the endgame for the company should be to have the Bullet Club form in one way or another and eventually head on a road to a feud with The Shield.

Here's how WWE could do it.

The beauty of this is that it can be done in so many different ways. For instance, there's a feeling that Styles is going to align with Gallows and Anderson at Payback and bring the stable back to life, but it doesn't have to be that simple.

Why not do it like this?

At Payback, with Gallows and Anderson storming down to ringside to help Styles, he rejects their support.

That leads to the duo beating down Styles, cementing themselves as heels and Styles as a top babyface. Reigns takes advantage and wins, and it keeps him very much a tweener in the eyes of WWE fans, as he gets a cheap, controversial win.

What next? Styles addresses Gallows and Anderson on Raw the following night, and they attack him again, something that continues for the next few weeks.

Styles ends up being the victim of Gallows and Anderson, but when he manages to get the upper hand, Finn Balor's music hits. Suddenly it's clear why Gallows and Anderson have viciously turned against Styles following his refusal of their help.

From there, we get Balor vs. Styles, which could roll right through to July. But where does The Shield come in?

Let's say that Balor eventually gets over the top of Styles in a really entertaining and enjoyable feud which secures him as the leader of the Balor Club. Meanwhile, Gallows and Anderson are dominating the rest of the rosters and, on the same night, they turn their attention to Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose has just won at the pay-per-view but is beaten down with little reason. This rolls on for a few weeks like it did with Styles, before Ambrose eventually gets help from Roman Reigns as support.

He helps ward off Gallows, Anderson and Balor, the company's top heel faction, but as the weeks continue, Reigns and Ambrose can't get the job done.

They lose a tag match to Gallows and Anderson the following month on pay-per-view at SummerSlam, before Balor beats down Dean after the match. Reigns and Ambrose are helped from the arena, and it looks like Balor Club has won.

But the following night on Raw, when Reigns and Ambrose try to address the situation and are attacked again, Seth Rollins' music hits, and the crowd goes wild.

Rollins helps Reigns and Ambrose fight off Balor Club, and at the end of the segment, Reigns and Ambrose stare at Rollins, without any clue as to his motivation. After all, the last time he was in a WWE ring, he was the WWE world heavyweight champion before injury ended his lengthy reign. He was a Triple H guy, and he turned his back on his brothers to join The Authority.

But this is a year further on, and when he puts his fist out, Reigns and Ambrose do the same, and The Shield is reborn.

From there, you have a good few months of a simply unmissable feud.
