Leicester City still need three wins to wrap up the Premier League title, but the Foxes are now guaranteed UEFA Champions League football for the first time in club history next season, per B/R UK:

Leicester's place in the Champions League was confirmed when second-placed Tottenham Hotspur hammered Manchester United 3-0 at White Hart Lane.

It's a result that leaves the Red Devils in fifth, 19 points behind the Foxes with just five games to play. So manager Claudio Ranieri's table-toppers can't be eliminated from the top four even if they endure what would have to be a spectacular collapse in the title race.

It provided Ranieri and his players some consolation after Spurs kept the title out of their hands for another week. James Sharpe of the Leicester Mercury summed up the bittersweet feeling Leicester fans had watching Tottenham trounce United:

Counting on Vardy as a match-winner while a stingy defence blanks the opposition is the formula the Foxes have used to separate themselves from the pack in 2016. But Ranieri, who guided Chelsea to a Champions League semi-final in 2004, will know his team will need more to surprise the big boys of the continent.

That will no doubt require keeping players like midfield engine N'Golo Kante and dynamic winger Riyad Mahrez in the fold. But being able to guarantee them a place on the most coveted stage in European football should help Leicester do just that.
