Manny Pacquiao Net Worth, Projected Bradley Purse Earnings, Fight Predictions

Tim DanielsApr 9, 2016

Manny Pacquiao is set for another lucrative payday as he takes on Timothy Bradley for the third time Saturday night. The rubber match could also mark the final fight of the eight-division world champion's career as his focus shifts even further toward politics.

Pac Man will add to an already impressive net worth, though the exact number is unclear. TheRichest.com projects the total at $250 million, while Celebrity Net Worth provides a more conservative estimate of $190 million. Either way, he's doing just fine from a financial perspective.

The figures come after Pacquiao's long-awaited battle with Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May. As expected, the hyped encounter was a massive draw, with the final revenue checking in around $500 million, according to Chris Isidore of CNN Money.

Although the numbers from Saturday night's bout won't come anywhere close to that total, the figures are still nothing to sneeze at.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told Dan Rafael of ESPN that Pacquiao's official purse is $7 million but that he's guaranteed to receive at least $20 million. Meanwhile, Bradley's purse is $4 million.

The biggest question is whether that will represent his last boxing payday. The 37-year-old veteran will be taking part in his 66th career bout and is hoping to win a Senate seat in the Philippines after having already served in the House of Representatives.

"I am retiring from boxing to concentrate on my political career. My fight with Timothy Bradley will be my last," Pacquiao said in January, per Martin Domin of MailOnline.

Yet when asked this week what would happen if a golden opportunity arose, like a potential big-money rematch with Mayweather, he wavered a bit, as relayed by George Willis of the New York Post.

"I don't know," Pacquiao said. "At that time, God willing, I'll be a senator in the Philippines, and I'll ask the people of the Philippines if they'll allow it. My attention and focus is to serve the people. I'll ask the people if they agree to that."

Ultimately, it's a fight Pac Man should win pretty handily. His loss in the first matchup with Bradley was highly controversial and could have easily went his way. He rebounded with a strong showing in the second meeting to win by unanimous decision.

He's lost some quickness over the years and doesn't possess the same power he did in his prime, but he's still a more complete fighter than Desert Storm. So expect him to take control in the middle rounds en route to another victory via unanimous decision.

If he does walk away for good after the match, he'll go out on a high note. But it definitely wouldn't be a surprise to see him back in the ring at some point despite his comments about retirement.
