Barcelona Transfer News: Marc-Andre ter Stegen Shoots Down Liverpool Rumours
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has reportedly ruled out any chance of moving to Anfield this summer after rumours emerged claiming Premier League giants Liverpool were interested in his services.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claimed Ter Stegen is "not thinking about switching clubs" at the end of this season, even if his chances of guaranteed first-team football might improve in Merseyside (h/t Charlie Phillippe of the Daily Express).

Ter Stegen moved to the Camp Nou from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2014, but Chile international Claudio Bravo has retained the No. 1 jersey under manager Luis Enrique since his arrival.
Bleacher Report's Rik Sharma provided quotes from Enrique, who hailed his three goalkeepers as the finest in La Liga, but despite the praise, Ter Stegen may understandably hold some reservations regarding his future:
The 23-year-old has made just four league appearances this season and looks set to continue as deputy to Bravo, at least for the time being.
Simon Mignolet's lacklustre performances in between Liverpool's sticks this season have led to speculation the Reds could find a replacement in the summer, despite the Belgian penning new terms at Anfield last month.
According to Phillippe, Liverpool launched a £15.4 million move for ex-Gladbach stopper Ter Stegen in January, but Barca rejected their advances.
According to Bleacher Report's Dean Jones, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is also eyeing Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius as a potential successor to Mignolet, should they fail in their move for Ter Stegen:
Ex-Borussia Dortmund chief Klopp has some knowledge of the Germany international from their time in the Bundesliga together, and Reds fans may well consider Ter Stegen an upgrade.
According to Squawka, Mignolet has made nine defensive errors that have led to goals since moving to Merseyside two-and-a-half years ago:
Ter Stegen may have struggled for chances at Barcelona thus far in his Spanish tenure, but with Bravo set to turn 33 in April, the young upstart may feel his time is coming at the Camp Nou.
The German shot-stopper has already clinched a European and domestic treble since moving to Catalonia, and it doesn't seem likely he'll be tempted away from Barca this summer.
