Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Danny Ings Rumours
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is reportedly set to hold talks with the club over his future, amid rumours of a possible move to Liverpool.
Lluis Miguelsanz of Sport claims the German wants discussions after failing to dislodge Claudio Bravo from between the sticks in La Liga matches, suggesting his patience "may explode soon."
"The 23-year-old has played a lot of Copa del Rey and Champions League games, but he understands the time has come to take a step forward," the piece continues. "In the case that Barca won’t assure him of that next season, he could ask to leave—be that on loan or a permanent transfer."

According to Fichajes (h/t Bruce Archer of the Daily Express), the Reds remain interested in signing the prodigious 'keeper.
Although Ter Stegen is currently behind Bravo in the Camp Nou pecking order, as we can see here, he is a wonderful talent:
Archer writes that even though Liverpool recently agreed a new five-year deal with current stopper Simon Mignolet, the Blaugrana starlet remains on their radar.

If they were able to somehow push this deal through, it’d be a huge coup for the Premier League side. After all, not only is Ter Stegen an exceptional shot-stopper, there are myriad more positive factors that make up his playing style, most noticeably his willingness to sweep up danger and the ability to distribute the ball expertly.
As noted here by the Barca Numeros account, the goalkeeper is more than willing to get involved in general play:
He’s a unique player and someone who would be starting games for the overwhelming majority of clubs on the continent. If his understanding of the situation is beginning to wear thin, then Barca have a big decision to make in the coming months; should the issue remain unresolved, the slim chances Liverpool have of landing this exceptional player will be bolstered.
Danny Ings Details Revealed

According to Burnley manager Sean Dyche, Liverpool have yet to pay the club a penny for the signing of Danny Ings.
The Reds signed the forward in the summer when his contract with the Clarets expired, although given Ings’ age, a tribunal is needed to determine an amount paid to the 23-year-old’s former employers. However, as reported by Jack Gaughan of the MailOnline, Dyche revealed the process has been a frustratingly slow one:
"It's not helpful. Like any business, ideally, you get funds in and then you look and say ‘what can we put out.’ That is a grey area for us with no knowledge of where it will end up.
We are certainly hoping it's by the end of the season, to bring closure for everyone, for all parties. We're all of the thinking it should be a considerable deal. We don't know how considerable, but we're certainly thinking more than a couple of shekels.
It would be helpful to know that's done, it's parked, the club has got 'this', we can use 'that', so let's go and use it.
"

Gaughan claims the Clarets think their former forward is worth £8 million, with the Reds likely to argue his valuation is closer to £6 million.
Ings is currently sidelined after an impressive start to his Liverpool career; he looks set to miss the rest of the campaign after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury. He netted a total of three goals in the early weeks of the campaign, including one in the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park.

Bleacher Report’s Karl Matchett thinks that Ings is capable of playing a part in the squad once returning from injury:
Who is responsible for arranging this tribunal remains unclear, and for Burnley, who are seeking to get back into the Premier League after their relegation last term, not having access to those kinds of funds must be annoying.
Under manager Jurgen Klopp, Ings seems as though he’d fare quite well when fit, with the German’s willingness to play a high-intensity brand of football matching up well with Ings’ own vibrant traits. In the long run, whether the club pays £6 million, £8 million or somewhere in between, the England striker looks as though he’s set to be a real bargain for Liverpool.
