Liverpool Fan Offers His Tickets for Merseyside Derby to Disabled Everton Fan
An eight-year-old Everton fan who suffered verbal abuse at the Etihad Stadium last week will now have the opportunity to watch the Merseyside derby in person, thanks to a kind-hearted Liverpool fan.
Toffees supporter James Ireland attended the League Cup semi-final against Manchester City with his 35-year-old father but became the subject of abuse when he was placed among the home fans by stadium stewards.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the wheelchair-bound youngster, who has cerebral palsy, was told by fans that he "should have been drowned at birth."

After his story spread on social media, a Reds fan stepped forward to offer James and his dad his tickets for February's Merseyside derby.
The Liverpool Echo quotes season ticket holder Robbie Owen, who usually attends games with his six-year-old son:
"It’s shocking what was said to that poor lad. No one ever deserves that. It’s disgusting what was said to him.
Me and my lad would like to give up our tickets to the derby so JJ and his dad can go and see what an away game should be like.
Me and my son will watch the match in the pub, no problem. We look after one another in this city.
