Rose Comments on Injury

"Just can’t push off the way I want to," Rose said, per K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. "I was able to work out. Lift and shot a little bit. But just overworked myself (on offday)."
Injuries Continue to Impact Rose
Regrettably, Rose's extensive history of injuries has made far more headlines in recent years than anything he's done on the court. He missed just six games over his first three seasons but has struggled to stay on the court since that point.
The ailments he's dealt with so far during the current campaign have been of the more manageable variety. He suffered an orbital fracture while taking part in a training camp practice and then battled through an ankle problem early in the season.
Even when he's been on the court, however, he's only shown flashes of the player who captured the 2010-11 MVP Award. The injuries seem to have taken a collective toll, making it unclear if he'll ever truly return to top form for an extended period.
Now that he's back on the floor, he will have another chance to show he can still be one of the game's best lead guards.
