The 27-year-old has played sparingly throughout his career, which includes stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers. He had 49 rushing yards on 21 carries in two games with Seattle, all of which came in the last two weeks.

Seattle's running back situation was fluid early in the year with incumbent Marshawn Lynch battling injuries. Undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls emerged as a tremendous asset, racking up four 100-yard games and leading the NFL at 5.6 yards per carry.

Unfortunately, Rawls suffered a broken ankle in Week 14,  and Seattle announced Tuesday it had placed him on season-ending injured reserve. Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed the Seahawks brought back Bryce Brown to fill out their running back depth chart.

Even though Harris' tenure with Seattle was not a rousing success, he was showcased in his final outing with 18 carries against the Ravens in place of Rawls.

Teams are always searching for depth at running back, especially late in the season as injuries mount, so Harris is a smart signing for the Ravens.
