Vince McMahon's Raw Appearance Gives WWE Spark It Desperately Needed
If there's one thing that's guaranteed to get WWE fans excited, it's a return after plenty of time away from TV.
But when most wrestlers come back after injury or any other reason, it's usually revealed a couple of days in advance, spoiling the surprise for those tuning in.
Also, most of the returns have only been after an absence of a few weeks, which doesn't really get the blood pumping too much.

However, Vince McMahon's surprise return to TV on Raw is exactly what the company has been crying out for. It was like a major shot of adrenaline in the arm for the company at a time when WWE is heading into its most pivotal part of the calendar.
Whether Vince is a more regular part of the schedule moving forward remains to be seen, but the chances are high given how Raw came to a conclusion on Monday night.
After Roman Reigns' implosion at the end of Tables, Ladders and Chairs followed by Vince's comeback, WWE's landscape seems to have been flipped on its head in just 48 hours.
You only have to think back to the early part of Sheamus vs. Reigns on Sunday night, when fans were more interested in chanting, "We want Cena!" and "Cena sucks!" than getting interested in the action in the ring.
WWE seemed like it was at an all-time low or certainly somewhere near that. But true to form, the return of the boss has sparked life back into a stuttering WWE, and it's going to be fascinating to see how things play out as we approach 2016.
As soon as Stephanie McMahon announced that her father was making an appearance on Monday night, the Philadelphia crowd exploded.
And true enough, when Vince came out to address both Reigns and the fans in attendance, he was in exceptional form. From his routine catchphrases to his impromptu kick to Reigns, it was all classic Vince—and exactly what WWE needed.
Vince's return can do something for The Authority moving forward, too. There's no doubting that the stable has gone a bit off the boil in recent months, with predictable opening segments and somewhat obvious storylines to work with.
But if Vince is going to slot in alongside Stephanie and Triple H, even if just up until WrestleMania 32, it's going to be compelling to watch.
In addition to that, Vince's return just seemed to have a positive impact on the rest of the night on Monday. Clearly, Vince isn't directly influencing other stars, but the show just picked up as a whole from the word "go" on Monday, and it never seemed to stop.
Reigns hitting Vince on the side of the ring and leaving him lying there was a telling sign. It suggests that Vince might be sticking around to try to exact some revenge on Reigns, and if he is staying on TV for a while, WWE will just get better and better.
The company has desperately needed a spark for a few weeks now. Thankfully, Vince provided it on Monday.
