Eddie Lacy Comments on Missing Curfew Before Lions Game
Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been struggling for most of the 2015 season. But in the two weeks leading up to the Packers' Thursday night game against the Detroit Lions, he was looking like the productive Lacy of old.
That was before he saw just 19 snaps against the Lions due to a missed curfew the night before the game. Lacy wasn't making any excuses, either.
According to PackersNews.com's Ryan Wood, Lacy said that he just "lost track of time" while downstairs of the team hotel with backup running back Alonzo Harris.

Lacy got the message.
"It’s a life lesson," Lacy told Wood. "It’s a lesson learned, and then it’s something that you move forward from.”
He had to sit on the sideline while Aaron Rodgers pulled off a miraculous Hail Mary pass to Richard Rodgers as time expired, giving the Packers a 27-23 win over the Lions.
It didn't sit well with him.
"It was extremely tough,” Lacy said. "But it was a result of my own behavior. So it's just something that I had to deal with."
While the third-year back only saw a decrease in carries, Harris was released from the team, which Lacy described as "devastating."
Wood was told by Lacy that he had an "internal" conversation with head coach Mike McCarthy:
"They know that whenever I'm out on the field I'm going to do exactly what I have to do. I'm not a guy that makes a lot of mistakes, or bad things off the field either. So that's something they know they don't have to worry about.
We put it behind us, and we’re moving forward. I think we both got things out in that conversation, and we’re both moving forward from that incident.
"
Lacy had just four yards on five carries on Thursday night after two-straight 100-yard efforts against the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears in Weeks 11 and 12. It was the first time all season Lacy had eclipsed the 100-yard mark as he has just 517 yards through 11 games.
Compare that to 1,100-plus yards in each of his first two seasons and it's easy to see how much Lacy is struggling. It didn't help that he had to deal with ankle and groin issues throughout the season.
This Thursday night demotion could do one of two things with Lacy. It could either light a fire under him and he will continue his form from Weeks 11 and 12, or he could struggle mightily like he has for most of the season.
We'll find out on Sunday when the Packers host the Dallas Cowboys, who are allowing over 100 rushing yards per game this season.
