WWE TLC 2015: Best Moments with Tables, Ladders and Chairs in WWE History
Whether it's together as a trio or each on their own, the concepts of tables, ladders and chairs have always drawn big moments in WWE matches.
Some of them are among the most revisited by WWE fans, largely because of the brutality and drama that surrounds them.
With Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2015 only weeks away, this seems like a perfect opportunity to look at the best TLC moments WWE has ever seen. It could be a match in its entirety or just a single segment that makes the eyes water, but they're all moments that fans will never forget.
It's worth noting that all of these moments come from TLC matches, not one-off ladder or tables matches, for example.
Edge's Table Woes (One Night Stand 2008 and Unforgiven 2006)
Edge's feud with The Undertaker in 2008 would eventually continue all the way through to SummerSlam, but arguably their most bruising battle came in a TLC match at One Night Stand in June of that year.
CM Punk would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Edge later that month to become world heavyweight champion, but not before the Canadian emerged triumphant in a vicious TLC battle which involved an incredible segment.
With the title hanging above the middle of the ring, Edge attempted to scamper up the ladder and retrieve his championship.
However, he was caught by The Undertaker midway up, and with two tables handily placed on top of each other to the side of the ladder, Taker drove Edge through them both with an incredible Last Ride powerbomb.
It drew an absolutely incredible reaction from the crowd in attendance and left Edge a crumpled heap in the middle of the ring under the tables.
But that wasn't Edge's first confrontation with two tables at the same time.
Two years earlier, at Unforgiven 2006, Edge was battling John Cena with the WWE Championship on the line. After Cena had earlier been put through a table at ringside, Edge would again taste the wood at the conclusion of this match, with Cena tossing him off the ladder with an Attitude Adjustment, straight through two tables that were stacked on top of each other.
Jeff Hardy Puts His Body on the Line (SummerSlam 2009)
Jeff Hardy's rivalry with CM Punk in 2009 was pretty entertaining, to say the least.
Two naturally gifted wrestlers doing what they do best is always a joy to watch, and Hardy and Punk put their bodies on the line on more than one occasion.
But at SummerSlam, when the two met in a TLC match that was perhaps the match of the entire year, Hardy provided one of the most outstanding moments in the history of the format.

Punk was laid out on the announce table at ringside, with Hardy taking it upon himself to destroy his opponent in the most spectacular way possible.
Notorious risk-taker Hardy scaled the top of the ladder before throwing himself off and performing the most outrageous Swanton Bomb on Punk from the top, crashing through the announce table in the process.
It instantly looked like Hardy had come off worse, and Punk would eventually see off Jeff and claim back the World Heavyweight Championship.
But that moment was the real standout in what was an incredible bout from start to finish.
Ricardo Rodriguez Crashes to Ringside (TLC 2011)
Although Ricardo Rodriguez is a wrestler by trade, he was billed as a complete novice in the ring during his time with WWE.
Anyone who knows Rodriguez's background will know he's a trained wrestler, but he was booked mostly as Alberto Del Rio's ring announcer during his run with WWE.
That created the illusion that Ricardo wouldn't be as well-trained to take bumps in the ring; he would naturally send the crowd wild whenever he was the subject of big bumps and big moves.
Take the 2011 edition of TLC, for example. Rodriguez was ringside during a Triple Threat match with The Miz and CM Punk at the event, and with all three men down, Rodriguez thought he would climb to the top of the ladder and win the belt for the Mexican.
However, The Miz and Punk had other ideas, tipping the ladder over toward the outside of the ring in such a way that it sent Rodriguez flying not just over the top rope, but almost directly into the barricading on the outside.
It was a move that drew plenty of attention, with Mick Foley, a man who has plenty of experience with dangerous moments during his WWE career, offering support to Rodriguez:
It was a real bump, and a dangerously serious moment. But it was also what TLC was designed for, to push the boundaries of extremity to their limits.
The Spear of All Spears (WrestleMania X-Seven)
The TLC match was born courtesy of some of the men already featured on this list. Jeff Hardy and Edge have played a part in some of the most brutal moments in the format's history, and this one from WrestleMania X-Seven was no exception.
It came at a time where the concept was fairly new, as this was only the second TLC match in WWE history.
Hardy had already put his body on the line once in the match, throwing himself on top of Rhyno and Spike Dudley through two tables on which they were laid side-by-side.
But this moment topped that, as it featured danger, physicality and pure in-ring ability all rolled into one.
Hardy had made an attempt to claim the belts from above the ring, but Bubba Ray Dudley pulled the ladder away from Jeff. Many expected him to fall, but he stayed above everyone else, clinging onto the belts for dear life.
Edge then set up an even bigger ladder, throwing himself off it and into Hardy's perilous position in the middle of the ring.
The spear sent shudders through everyone in attendance and everyone watching around the world. What's more, Edge's partner Christian would eventually scale a ladder and claim the tag titles for Edge and Christian.
But that match will most likely be forever remembered not for the victory, but for the spear of all spears.
