Chris Eubank Reveals Nigel Benn Fight Offer After 'I'm a Celebrity' Exit
Former middleweight world champion Chris Eubank has insisted he could return to the ring in the future, with the prospect of a third fight with Nigel Benn said to be “possibly on.”
Eubank, now 49 years old, has been thrust into the public eye again recently after appearing as a contestant on the television program I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and, after his elimination from the show, revealed he’d be keen to complete a trilogy of fights against his longstanding rival.
“Well, as long as he accepts what we're going to offer him,” said Eubank of a potential fight, per Matt Maltby of the MailOnline. “Yes, we're possibly on...possibly.”

Benn, who is now 51 and a former middleweight world champion himself, has made it clear previously on his Twitter feed that he’d be keen to square off against his nemesis for a third time:
It’s been a while since either man was in action professionally, with Eubank and Benn taking part in their last fights in 1998 and 1996, respectively. Both of these British boxing greats lost their last three bouts, but they are revered for their tremendous careers.
Their two fights in the 1990s were central to a boom in British boxing. Eubank seized the WBO middleweight championship from Benn in 1990 after stopping him in the ninth round of a breathless encounter, and when the duo met again three years later, Benn retained his super-middleweight crown as the pair battled to a thrilling draw.

The rivalry between the two is iconic in British sport and after the 1993 showdown, many anticipated the pair would go toe-to-toe for a third time, although it never materialised. Now, 22 years on from their last bout, it appears boxing fans may finally see the two in action once again.
Here’s a recap of some of the best moments when the pair first met 25 years ago:
Although each have been in some massive battles in the past and are well over the hill, there are a lot boxing fans who would enjoy seeing them settling an old score. A draw in the second fight was a result that didn’t sit right with plenty, and despite their advancing years, you can bet Benn and Eubank would be fiercely competitive.
For those who watched these two slug it out in the 1990s, it’d certainly trigger some nostalgic memories. Subsequently, if promoted appropriately, there’s definitely potential for this bout to be a big success, even if it won’t live up to the standards these two excellent fighters set two decades ago.
