Results
- Reigns, Ambrose and The Usos kicked off the show in the ring. Reigns did all of the talking, discussing family and the ongoing rivalry with The League of Nations. He challenged Sheamus, King Barrett, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio to come to the ring for a fight. The heels hit the stage and exchanged words with their rivals, with Sheamus announcing there would be a match between Reigns and his backup, and the new heel faction. The New Day interrupted and revealed that Ambrose and The Usos would have to earn their spots in the main event by facing them. Failure to beat Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods would result in Reigns facing The League on his own.
- Tyler Breeze defeated Neville with the Unprettier. Dolph Ziggler was on commentary.
- Renee Young conducted an interview with Lynch, who admitted disappointment with Charlotte's actions on Raw. Brie Bella and Alicia Fox interrupted, called her gullible, then exchanged words with Charlotte, who entered the scene late.
- Brie defeated Lynch via disqualification when Charlotte interfered. Late in the bout, Brie crashed into Charlotte, who let her anger get the best of her. After the match, Lynch and Charlotte argued, with the former walking out in frustration.
- The New Day defeated Ambrose and The Usos when Woods pinned Jimmy Uso. As a result, the main event would feature Reigns against The League of Nations.
- Rusev and Lana cut a promo on Ryback.
- Backstage, The Miz approached Neville about guiding him to greatness by bringing out his personality, just as he did for Daniel Bryan.
- Wyatt defeated D-Von Dudley. After the match, The Wyatt Family put Tommy Dreamer through a table and posed over the fallen bodies of the ECW originals.
- Young informed The Usos and Ambrose that they were barred from ringside.
- Reigns defeated The League of Nations by count-out. King Barrett was ejected from the match early in a moment that made absolutely no sense. After the match, the heels tried to beat down Reigns, but Ambrose and The Usos hit the ring, made the save and stood tall to end the show.

Analysis
The beautiful thing about SmackDown is its two-hour run time does not allow for throwaway segments. Every match and interview is integral to ongoing storylines, and that was once again the case during Tuesday's tapings.
Love the current direction of the product or not, everything that took place on SmackDown had a reason to exist. It was on point and focused, something that cannot always be said about Monday nights.
The New Day continued its wildly entertaining act and backed it up with a really strong match against Ambrose and The Usos. The chemistry of the six Superstars was evident, and the "knee injury" Jimmy suffered on Raw was exploited, making for a nice example of linear storytelling.
For all the chatter about Reigns not being over with the fans, he received consistent pops throughout the night, with the only jeers coming from a very, very small portion of the audience that was quickly drowned out. His showing in the main event was strong and put sympathy on him as he continues to chase both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the status of face of WWE.
It was interesting to see D-Von squashed as quickly and as unapologetically as he was by Wyatt then laid to waste with Bubba Ray and Dreamer like he was. Then again, it is unbelievable someone well past his prime like D-Von would be able to hang with Wyatt anyway, so it at least made sense.
The growing frustration on Lynch's part in relation to Charlotte and her suddenly devious ways was expressed nicely as she walked away from her friend after a loss to Brie. Hopefully, the entire ordeal leads to Lynch growing a spine, standing up for herself and being the breakout star of the division that she probably already should be at this point.
Either way, it was incredibly obvious that Charlotte is in the process of a heel turn, leaving the Divas roster without any real babyfaces past Lynch and Natalya.
Finally, the other interesting development coming out of SmackDown was the interaction between Neville and The Miz in which the latter called out the former NXT champion for his lack of on-screen personality. The idea of pairing them together may not seem like the most logical or appealing option, but considering the fact that neither is doing anything else at this point, it is not so bad.
The Dec. 3 episode of SmackDown is a fast-paced show with some very solid ring work from Reigns, Ambrose, The Usos and The League of Nations as well as character and story development. While most episodes of the weekly show may not be worth going out of your way to check out, this week's is a rare exception.
