Fans React as Norwich Come from Behind to Draw 1-1 vs. Injury-Hit Arsenal

Joe GallagherNov 29, 2015

Arsenal flew (yes, flew) to Norwich on Sunday evening looking for three points against the Canaries which could see them move level with Manchester City atop the Premier League table.

For the Gunners, it was a key match as they looked to assert some dominance despite the absence of a number of key names through injury.

It got even worse when Laurent Koscielny hobbled off in the first half.

Some were quick to blame the effects of air travel.

Arsenal dominated the early exchanges, but all eyes were on John Ruddy's pink socks.

Fancy socks or not, Ruddy was beaten on the half hour when Mesut Ozil fired home to give Arsenal the lead.

The audio-visual staff at Carrow Road had their work cut out as Arsenal went in search of a second.

But instead it was Lewis Grabban who scored the next goal, firing home shortly before the break to square the game at 1-1...

...it proved a few doubters wrong.

Wes Hoolahan spurned a glorious chance to put Norwich in front but it stayed level at half time, though not everyone held it against Hoolahan.

Half time was, well, interesting, as rival mascots took each other on in a dance-off...

But Arsene Wenger might have been relieved by the decision to bring an extra body on the flight (once again, yes, flight) when Santi Cazorla hit the deck.

The Gunners boss had Petr Cech to thank for keeping his side in it with 20 minutes to play.

Then it was Gabriel who kept the Canaries at bay as Norwich pushed for an unlikely winner, and Arsenal's potency faded...

In the end Arsenal held on to record a point that keeps them fourth, just two points behind league-leading Manchester City.
